This week online: ChemBio Finland 2021, Virtual pre-PulPaper and Helsinki Chemicals Forum

The timing of many events has had to be postponed this year. ChemBio Finland and PulPaper also moved to the spring of 2022. This week, both events will host the day's free online events, which will open next year's themes. The ChemBio Finland 2021 virtual pre-event is on Wednesday 28 April 2021 and the Virtual pre-PulPaper is 29 April 2021. At the same time, the Helsinki Chemicals Forum will be held online on April 28-29, 2021.

ChemBio Finland's virtual pre-event and Virtual pre-PulPaper are both free of charge for visitors and offer a high-quality program. ChemBio Finland opens up important topics through chemistry and biotechnology. The International Virtual Pre-PulPaper for the forest industry will present six themes for next year. About 20 companies participate in both online events. There is a Brella service that allows you to make appointments with both the companies involved and other visitors. There is also a chat service on the corporate website. The pages of the participating companies will open on the day of the event.

The international chemical safety expert seminar Helsinki Chemicals Forum is a two-day paid event.

“The online events will be filmed in the studios of the Exhibition Center and broadcast live. Some of the performances, including international keynote speeches, come remotely, ”says Marcus Bergström , Business Manager in charge of the events at the Exhibition Center. “Now we can provide good content that can be followed from all over the world. You will also learn about online events until next year, when our events at the Exhibition Center will then be hybrids and some of the content will be distributed online. ”

Wednesday 28.4. ChemBio Finland 

ChemBio Finland 2021 virtual pre-event webinars are Chemistry Days , Chemistry Days / Green Chemistry ,  Finnish Life Science in the Coronary Crisis ,  New Normal for Safety ,  Carbon Neutral Chemistry and Strategic Capabilities  and  Career SeminarThe program delves into many really interesting topics. Biobanks and vaccine research, crown-developed tests, reagents and medicines, new innovations in the circular economy and the potential of the hydrogen economy and green chemistry. What kind of experts does the carbon-neutral chemical industry need and what kind of careers are there in the chemical industry? The new security norm opens up perspectives on CBRNE work, security of supply, anticipation of biological threats, and the impact of the corona on security. The event will be opened by Minister of Science and Culture Annika Saarikko with her video greeting and speeches by Markku Leskelä , Chairman of the Chemistry Days Foundation, and Mika Aalto, CEO of the Chemical Industry Association The day ends with a prize-giving ceremony where the distribution takes placeThe Finnish Chemists ' Association's Circular Economy Innovation Award , the Finnish Fair Foundation's BioFinland and Chemistry Awards and the Chemistry Clubs' Award .

The exhibition center organizes the ChemBio Finland event in cooperation with the Chemical Clubs, the Finnish Bioindustry Association and the Chemical Industry Association.

Thursday 29.4. Virtual pre-PulPaper 

PulPaper opens up forest industry topics through six themes. Themes include  IT and Automation ,  Environment and Sustainability ,  Safety and Risk Management ,  New Products from Biomass ,  Efficiency and Packaging Solutions . The keynote speakers at the event will be Ilkka Hämälä from Metsä Group,  Lauri Pehu-Lehtonen from Andriz and John Schroeder from ABB, as well as Kai Vikman and Juhana Litja from AFRY The New Tree competition will be announced at the event  winners and the result of the public vote. The competition seeks wood-based solutions to global challenges. Pre-PulPaper will launch the Pulpaper Award competition of the Finnish Fair Foundation  , which this year has been combined with the From Lab to Business Idea competition. The exhibition center organizes the event in cooperation with the Wood Processing Engineers Association.

Wednesday and Thursday 28-29 April Helsinki Chemicals Forum 

EU Environment Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius will open the international expert seminar on chemical safety .

In 2022, the Exhibition Center will

meet The leading international PulPaper 2022 event in the forest industry will be held on March 29–31, 2022 at the Exhibition Center. ChemBio Finland 2022 brings together chemistry and biotechnology professionals at the Exhibition Center in Helsinki on March 30-31, 2022. The leading event in the chemical and biosector in the Nordic countries presents the chemical industry, biotechnology and laboratory products The Helsinki Chemicals Forum, an international expert seminar on chemical safety, will be held from 30 to 31 March 2022.
