"New and safer ski and snowboard carriers"

PRESS RELEASE
November 16, 1996
New And Even Better Carriers
For Skis And Snowboards

Thule is now launching a new ski carrier and a compact snowboard carrier. The ski carrier
can be fitted to a standard load carrier system and has room for up to four pairs of skis, while the snowboard carrier is said to be the only lockable model of its type.

Thule is now launching two new products in anticipation of the coming Winter Season. The Thule 721 ski carrier is something of a family model. It has room for up to four pairs of skis, and can also be used for transporting snowboards or water-skis. Thanks to its built-in quick-release straps it can be fitted completely without the help of tools.
The push-button opening mechanism means that loading and unloading skis takes no time at all, even when wearing ski gloves. Specially designed rubber sections hold the skis firmly in place so that there's no risk of
damage to the roof of the vehicle. And, to give even greater security, the carrier has a double locking mechanism as a standard feature, locking the skis into the ski carrier and the ski carrier to the load carrier system.
The Thule 573 snowboard carrier features the same double locking mechanism. The angled fastenings mean that the

snowboard takes up the minimum amountof space on the load carrier system while also ensuring that the bindings
will not scratch the roof of the vehicle. Both the wire lock and the supports are simple to adjust, to take account of the number and width of the snowboards to be transported.
Both products have been approved as complying with DIN standards by TÜV/GS in Germany./ins
