Tailor made ringing melodies

Customising the ring of a mobile phone can now be achieved with the introduction of new software from mobile phone manufacturer Benefon. The ringing tone becomes more individual and easier to recognise.

The Maestro software allows users of Benefon mobilephones to compose their own ringing melody. The software is inserted into a PC and using the Windows environment, a tune can be created by selecting a combination from 40 musical notes and by varying the tone and pause lengths as well as tempo. No musical knowledge is needed. Simple trial and error can create a tailor made tune.
The tune can be played back through a computer and downloaded into the mobile phone. The downloading is done via an adapter which is plugged into the PC’s modem port.
Maestro is available for Benefon's Sigma and Betacs Gold mobile phones./ins
