Fortaco opens sales office in Germany as part of European expansion

/INS. Today’s heavy industries are built on partnerships. Complex projects in the construction, mining, forestry, agriculture and energy sectors increasingly depend on sub-contractors and partners to build machinery or develop engineering expertise to turn plans into results.

From design to delivery, whether it is components weighing several tonnes, lifting booms for cranes, precision welding, operator cabins or finely machined engine parts; there is no doubt of the increasing importance of the sub-contractor’s role for a wealth of industries and projects of varying size and scale.

Few companies can claim to work as a partner starting from planning, technology and engineering to final assembly and delivery. However, Fortaco, based in Finland, is doing just that. The company has ambitions for further growth in Europe and is opening a new sales office in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Fortaco, which can count some of the biggest global names in heavy industry as its customers, will open the new premises during summer 2014, to cater for the European markets and customers. It already has over 2000 employees and has production sites in Finland, Estonia, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. It also has sales offices in Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands.

The new office will be headed by Jochen Adam-Mueller, vice president for business development in Central Europe.

“With our new sales office, Fortaco will be in a better location to be closer to our European customers. We will strengthen our position in an important market, where we bring value throughout the whole value chain, from component creation to final assembly, which sets us apart from our competitors,” said Mr. AdamMueller. “Fortaco’s mission is ultimately to create that value for our customers by reshaping the way things are produced and there is a big potential in Europe,” he added.
