Reliable hydraulic motor meeting ISO standard for mobile applications

Exhibited at: International Motor Show (IAA), Hanover. Stand: A:39. Hall 26. 12-19 September. A new hydraulic motor family, developed in accordance with the ISO standard, is to be launched. The motor takes very little space and has a high starting torque, which according to the Swedish manufacturer, Sunfab Hydraulics, makes it suitable for use in mobile systems. The ISO motor is said to be very reliable and highly efficient. The motor is based on the company's proprietary technical solution with an angled shaft, a so-called bent-axis. This enables a compact design, few moving parts and low bearing loads. The motor has up to seven spherical pistons, which shall provide an action free of pulsation, high pressure and high speeds in, for example, mobile presses and equipment.

"The new construction is based on the SCM motor that we previously launched in the US market, a motor that attracted a great deal of attention," says Mikael Perman, Head of Development and Design at Sunfab Hydraulics in Hudiksvall, Sweden. "We have, among other things, developed a new bearings and seal solution, in which all measurements and tolerances are specified in millimetres. Equipment manufacturers are an important target group, but we also see great potential in after-sales in Europe, where this new product can replace older motor solutions.

The motor is robust, has tapered roller bearings and a fixed displacement. Models are available in sizes from 12 to 108 cubic centimetres per rotation. The motor is stocked in standard sizes, but can also be adapted to different application areas. The motor is quickly installed and the precision-machined connection cover ensures optimal performance and good durability.

Sunfab Hydraulics develop, manufacture, and market hydraulic motors and hydraulic pumps. The company's primary target group is the truck market. Sunfab has 60 employees, an annual turnover of SEK 90 million and is represented in 35 countries.
