A new series of hydraulic motors to permit more flexible installation

The first models in a new series of hydraulic motors, specially developed for trucks, are now being launched. According to the manufacturer, Sunfab Hydraulics AB, they have a high starting torque and are based on the company's well established SC type pumps. "Hydraulic motors permit great flexibility when installing such components as high pressure pumps, compressors, vacuum pumps, generators or other rotating items on a truck", says Mats Wettermark, the company's marketing manager.

The company develops its hydraulic pumps and motors in close co-operation with customers, which include manufacturers of hydraulic equipment for trucks, body-builders and end users.
" With these new motors we are aiming to become all-round supplier of truck hydraulics and thereby hope to reach new customer groups."

Eight models
The range covers eight motors displacing from 12 to 108 cc and with power up to 140 kW. The motors have conical roller bearings with radial bearings at the front.
"This permits high radial loading and promotes a long life," says Lennart Andersson, Sunfab Design Manager. The motor design that we have chosen (bent-axis) gives a compact product with few moving parts. This reduces bearing loads, increases reliability and increases the overall efficiency.
SCM motors with a fixed displacement have angled shafts and spherical pistons, which make them highly efficient. The flanges and shaft are manufactured in accordance with SAE standards B, C and D. The continuous working pressure for all the motors is 35 MPa.
Sunfab Hydraulics AB develops and manufactures hydraulic pumps, and now also motors, mainly for truck use. The company is certified to ISO 9001 and has its own stocks in Hudiksvall, Hamburg, Singapore and Chicago. In other markets the distributors handle stock control. Sunfab is a family business with 75 years behind it, and has been manufacturing hydraulic pumps since 1954.
