Adjusts pipes correctly

PRESS RELEASE

Adjusts pipes correctly

A pipe laying laser with a visible diode combining the traditional durability of the diode laser with the visible light of the gas laser, AC1 Pipelaser, is now being launched by AMA Laser Systems. The laser has fully automatic self-levelling and has compensation in the transverse axis. Remote control and built-in batteries are other innovations. The laser beam is visible over a distance of 100 m.

The new pipe laying laser can be used for both pipe laying work and for edging, trenching and other jobs where a straight reference line is required.

Visible light

The advantage of instruments with the usual diode laser is that they are small, convenient and compact. The disadvantage is that the light is in the infra-red spectrum and cannot therefore be seen by the human eye. On the other hand, gas lasers have visible light but they are unwieldy to handle. With the "AC1" Pipelaser the advantages of both systems are combined without the disadvantages.
Another innovation is the built-in automatic compensation of the laser beam position when the laser is placed at a certain point of intersection in the transverse axis.
New technology is used to produce a high quality laser beam which provides a good, visual and circular light point even at long distances.

Endures tough handling

The instrument is provided with remote control for adjusting and direction control and has built-in batteries which can cope with at least 12 hours of continuous use between chargings. The design is robust and stands up to rough handling and severe weather conditions. The laser light is visible at a distance of at least 100 m in daylight. The temperature range is from -20Ý to +50ÝC, the weight is approx. 5 kg and the inclination range -10% to +40%, i.e. from -10 m to +40 m per 100 m of pipe laying.

AMA Laser Systems is part of Scandia Metric AB with approx. 140 personnel in Scandinavia. Turnover is around 300 million Swedish kronor. Apart from laser-based pipe laying instruments, AMA Laser Systems has developed, among other things, a series of rotating lasers for the building industry.
