The ambitious expansion plan encompasses the addition of new units, including a rolling mill-I capable of producing 2,64,000 tpa of products like TMT bars, wire rods, CR sheets, and HR sheets. Another significant addition is the rolling mill-II, with a capacity of 2,64,000 tpa, focusing on square and round pipes. Additionally, a 50,000 tpa slag crushing unit and other components are also part of the expansion initiative.

Anticipated to commence work in Q3/FY24, the project’s completion is targeted for December 2025, as per the updates shared with Projects Today. Presently, JD Steel Industries is awaiting the terms of reference (ToR) for the project, and the selection of the machinery supplier is yet to be finalised.
